When you finally start your healing journey, you begin uncovering your inner strength.
A lot of times, we’ve been in situations that have just beat us down that we just feel weak. So, part of the process of healing is to start building up that inner strength because once you start building it, you can change your thoughts because a lot of times we’ve been in these environments where we are just made to believe that we’re not good enough, we’re not worthy and we don’t deserve love. Once you start your healing, you shouldn’t change those thoughts.
You have the power to change those thoughts and eventually once you become strong enough and you become healed enough, you start really realizing your worth. That’s when your environment will change because you’ll either start demanding change, from whoever it is in that environment that’s causing you pain, by putting up those boundaries, demanding respect and demanding not to be treated a certain way or you’ll be strong enough to finally leave and it is hard.
I’ve walked away from everything that I ever knew and it’s lonely and it’s difficult. It is sad at times but mentally I’m so much stronger my heart is stronger and it’s just gotten me to a point where I’ve accepted that that’s not what was for me even though for many years that’s all I knew and that’s what I thought. It was meant for me but I know I’m meant for more and if you’re not happy and you’re not in an environment where you are happy and fulfilled, start your healing and you’ll be amazed at the strength that you start finding within yourself. You’ll find strength that you didn’t even know existed. You know as the saying goes you don’t know how strong you are until strong is the only option.
So, keep at it.
